M.C.C. tour to South Africa 1948/49. Official folding menu for the ‘Civic Dinner in honour of the M.C.C. Touring Team’ held at the Commercial Hotel, Robertson, 3rd November 1948. The menu with decorative front cover and printed title, toasts and menu to inside. ‘Ex R.T. Simpson’ annotated in pencil to back cover. Very good condition.
M.C.C. played a tour match against Western Province at the Callie de Wet Sportsground, Robertson, 3rd & 4th November 1948. M.C.C. won by an innings and 100 runs. Reg Simpson played, scoring 47 in M.C.C.’s only innings.
