Hanson ‘Sammy’ Carter. New South Wales & Australia 1897-1925. Excellent sepia cabinet card photograph of Carter depicted full length in wicket-keeping pose wearing Australian Test cap. Signed in black ink to the photograph ‘Yours truly H Carter’. Cabinet card by E. Hawkins & Co, Brighton. 4.25”x6.5”. Minor surface wear to the photograph, small pin hole to the top edge of the mount, otherwise in very good condition.
Hanson Carter toured England with the Australian team on the 1902, 1909 and 1921 tours and played in twenty Tests for Australia.
