A Royal Doulton ‘Black Boy’ bone china dinner plate, entitled ‘I was’nt ready’ printed with a boy in red shirt, yellow waistcoat and a floppy hat looking glum with his wicket broken behind him. Green floral decoration to inner and outer rim. 10.25” diameter. Doulton backstamp and number ‘D2864’ to base. Very minor loss to green band otherwise in very good condition. A rare ‘Black Boy’ plate
