Sydney Francis Barnes, Warwickshire, Lancashire, Staffordshire, England & Wales 1894-1930. A commemorative side plate with colour transfer printed vignette of Barnes wearing cap, stood at the wicket with ball in his hand to centre, with inscription ‘Syd. F. Barnes-Famous International Bowler’. The plate with ribbed outer border. 7.25” diameter. Minor wear, staining to edge and some firing marks otherwise in good condition
The plates were produced to commemorate Barnes taking six wickets for 24 runs for England v Australia in Australia 1908’.
