Alfred Richard ‘Alf’ Gover. Surrey & England 1928-1948. Ronson cigarette lighter inscribed to one side ‘Surrey County Cricket Club’ with Surrey emblem, and to the verso ‘County Champions 1952, 1953, 1954, 1955, 1956 Under Captaincy of W. Stuart Surridge’. These lighters were presented to the players by Surridge. Previously sold as part of the Alf Gover collection by Phillips as lot 261, 29th October 1998. VG
