‘The Gentlemen of Leicestershire v M.C.C. 1934. Presentation cricket ball with silver band encircling it with the engraved inscription ‘Hugh Beresford. The Gentlemen of Leicestershire v M.C.C. 9 wickets for 57 runs, August 15th 1934’. Presented on a square wooden display stand. No record of the match can be found. Good condition.

Updated information: The match commenced 15th August 1934 and was played at the Park Road ground, Loughborough. Full details are not certain, but Leicester Gentlemen made 183 in their first innings and a 'strong' M.C.C. team were bowled out for 133, Beresford taking 9/57. M.C.C. went on to win by three wickets.
