Royman Browne. Cricket artist and illustrator. Three original pen and ink cartoons by Browne. One of two batsmen in conversation at the wicket admiring a lady spectator ‘Absolute image of Kim Novak..!’, 4.5”x8”. Two batsmen sprawled out on the ground, the bowler standing over them wearing boxing gloves with his captain, and an irate umpire approaching, 7”x5.5”. A wicket-keeper appealing for a stumping having demolished the wicket, the batsman clearly out of his ground but given not out by the umpire who has a fly in his eye, 9”x5.5”. Originally from the collection of Gordon Ross, editor of Playfair Cricket Monthly. Very good condition.
