Walter Reginald Hammond. Gloucestershire & England 1920-1951. Black file containing seventeen mono and sepia photographs of Hammond, playing cricket for England and for Gloucestershire, playing golf, head and shoulders portraits, on tour, at functions etc. All the photographs, spanning the 1920’s and 1930’s, barring one are press photographs and the majority measure around 8”x10”. Photographs include batting for England v Australia at Lord’s 1938 on his way to making 240 in the first innings of the Test, a reception for his Benefit year in 1934, batting v Surrey 1938, playing golf with C.S. Lewis in a tournament, on tour of South Africa 1927/28, playing golf with M.C.C. 1030/31 etc. One small piece boldly signed by Hammond. A good selection, some nice images
