‘Somerset v Yorkshire. August 26th 1892’. Original and official photograph to commemorate Lionel Palairet and Herbie Hewett setting the then record opening partnership in first-class cricket of 346 in Somerset’s only innings in the match played at Taunton. The two players are stood in front of the scoreboard with the scores displayed. Title to top border and details of the players and scores to lower border. Mounted, framed and glazed, overall 17”x19”. Very slight tear/split to image on Palairet’s right arm, some fading to image otherwise in good condition
