Austin David George Matthews. Northamptonshire, Glamorgan & England 1927-1947. Mono real photograph plain back postcard of Mattews, head and shoulders, wearing a blazer. Nicely signed in ink to the photograph by Mattews. Official stamp to verso for A. Wilkes & Son, West Bromwich, with date stamp for 1939 when Matthews was playing for Glamorgan. Postally unused. An excellent image and nice signature. Very good condition.
Mattews’ only Test appearance was for England v New Zealand at The Oval in 1937.
