Henry Knollys ‘Harry’ Foster. Oxford University & Worcestershire 1899-1925. Mono real photograph postcard of Foster in fielding pose catching a ball with title ‘H.R.[sic] Foster (Worcester). I was waiting for that’. Very nicely signed in black ink by Foster. Hartmann series no. 1370. Postmarked 1906. Minor wear, age toning and silvering to card edges otherwise in good condition. Rare.
Harry Foster was the first official captain of Worcestershire from 1899 to 1900, 1902 to 1910 and again in 1913, and led the side in their first ever County Championship match in 1899.
