Olympic Games. Melbourne 1956. Complete set of eight official programmes for the athletics events held in the Main Stadium (Melbourne Cricket Ground), 23rd November- 1st December 1956. All with ink annotations to pages, rusting to staples, otherwise in good/ very good condition. Sold with thirty original mono press photographs of track and field gold medal winners in action, published by Track and Field News. Seventeen measure 10”x8”, thirteen 4”x5”, each with printed caption to lower margin. Also a silk commemorative handkerchief, and an official Kenya Olympic Association handbook. Very good condition.
