Oxford and Cambridge University athletics 1900s- 1950s. Four original candid style sepia photographs depicting athletics at Iffley Road, Oxford c.1912. Athletes are depicted in a running race, hurdles, and high jump. Each 3.5”x2.5”. Photographer unknown. Official mono photograph of the Cambridge University Athletic team c.1912. The photograph by ‘Messrs Stearn Photos Cambridge’ measures 11”x8.5”, laid to tightly and unevenly trimmed original mount. Some loss and damage to corners, otherwise in good condition. Original sepia photograph of Malcolm Nokes, hammer thrower, standing full length. The photograph taken during the Oxford & Cambridge v Harvard & Yale meeting in 1921. 7”x5”. Photographer unknown. Minor nicks and creases. ‘Oxford v Cambridge University Relays 1951’ official mono photograph of the teams seated and standing in rows with elaborate title and emblems with athletes names handprinted to mount borders. The photograph by Stearn & Sons, Cambridge measures 11.75”x9, laid to photographer’s mount overall 18”x15.5”. Loss and creasing to mount, the photograph in very good condition. Qty 7.
