‘Norfolk County Cricket Club. Season 1905. Souvenir of a Record Season’. Published by Jarrold & Sons, Norwich. Original dark blue full leather with gilt title and County emblem to front cover, gilt to page edges, marbled endpapers. Comprises records of all matches played in the Minor Counties Championship for 1905, in which Norfolk were champions. Frontispiece photograph of Rev. G.B. Raikes, captain. Padwick 2445. Very minor rubbing to board extremities, otherwise in very good condition. A nice copy.
Usually seen bound in blue cloth, it is assumed this leather bound version would have been produced in limited numbers for Club officials, the owner is unknown. Norfolk, captained by George Barkley Raikes (Oxford University & Hampshire 1893-1902), won the Minor Counties Championship of 1905, playing eight matches, winning six, ending with a final percentage score of 86.33.
