‘The Jubilee Book of Cricket’. K.S. Ranjitsinhji. Edinburgh 1897. Limited edition of 350 copies signed by Ranjitsinhji, this being number 334. Magnificently bound in full black leather with titles in silver and gilt to spine. Name of ownership and date handwritten to the front end paper with detail ‘Bought from the library of Brigadier R.C. Chichester-Constable DSO, Yorkshire, following his death. Very good condition.
Rayleigh Chichester-Constable was a soldier and cricketer. He played twenty four matches of first-class cricket between 1919 and 1935, mainly for M.C.C. and Minor Counties. He was Captain of the Yorkshire Second XI from 1926 to 1938
