‘Jamaica Cricket 1863-1926, being a sixty-three year record of the game’. Compiled and published by J. Coleman-Beecher, Lingston. Printed by The Gleaner Co Ltd 1926. 97pp plus advertising pages, illustrated. Original pictorial front wrapper, lacking rear, bound in brown and marbled half leather boards with gilt title to spine. Original pull-out folding illustration of the 1925/26 M.C.C. team inserted just before the title page as published. Loosely inserted into the book is a letter from the West Indies Manager Richard ‘Harry’ Mallett to a Mr White dated 1933 regarding the book. ‘R.H. Mallett’s copy’ and a further unknown signature handwritten to the top of the title page. The cameo images of the players named in ink to their image. Old vertical tape mark to the edge of the front wrapper, wrapper becoming detached from its binding, Some wear to the front wrapper with slight loss to extremities, some minor staining to the internal page edges, not affecting the text otherwise in good condition.
