K.A. Auty Annual Christmas Card Series, 1947-1958. Photograph album comprising a complete collection of original Christmas Cards and/ or inserts from Auty in Chicago. The 1947 is annotated by Auty in pencil ‘Reprint of Contents of my 1947 card, K.A.A.’. The 1948 comprises similar reprints of Parts 1 & 2, with Auty’s annotation. 1949-1959 are original cards, each annotated by Auty. Also included are original letters to G. Neville Weston from Auty, one a lengthy four page typed letter dated 9th November 1956, and a further five handwritten letters from 1956 to 1958 (two with original envelopes) regarding his Christmas cards and Cricket Annuals published by himself. An envelope laid to the inside back cover comprises a further near complete selection of original Christmas cards for the period, similarly annotated, and two additional letters. Auty died in November 1959, and a copy of his obituary from ‘The Cricketer Spring Annual’ 1960 is laid to the inside front cover of the album. Rarely seen as a set. Good/ very good condition.
