‘Australian & England Test Series 1926’. A tablecloth with intricate decorative lacework borders, signed in black ink by twenty eight England and Australia Test players. Handwritten title to centre with the signatures of the England captain, Arthur Carr, also Ernest Tyldesley, Greville Stevens and Australian, Warren Bardsley. To the borders the signatures of Frank Woolley, Herbert Sutcliffe, Percy Chapman, Herbert Strudwick, Maurice Tate, Roy Kilner, Jack Hobbs, Patsy Hendren, Arthur Gilligan (England), John Ellis, Charlie Macartney, Arthur Mailey, Johnny Taylor, Charlie Kelleway, Bert Oldfield, Jack Gregory, Arthur Richardson, Bill Ponsford, Jack Ryder, Clarrie Grimmett, Bill Woodfull (Australia) etc. Approx. 34” square. Smudging to the odd signature, otherwise in very good condition.
