Gentlemen v Players, The Oval 1934. Three album pages nicely signed in ink by all twenty two players for the match played at The Oval, 11th- 13th July 1934, each loose mounted to black page. Gentlemen’s signatures are Case, Baring, Fairfax, Lord Tennyson, Moore, Morkel, Holmes, Garland-Wells, Baxter, Machin and Fender. Players’ signatures are Kennedy, Sandham, Arnold, Brooks, Squires, Wellard, Mercer, Gregory, Gover, Lee and Duckfield. Minor ink smudge to the signature of Gregory, otherwise in very good condition. Sold with a small selection of official, press and candid photographs, including Lord Tennyson leading the Gentlemen on to the field at Folkestone in 1932, candid photographs of the M.C.C. team to tour Australia v ‘The Rest’ with team photograph of ‘The Rest’ etc. Very good condition.
