Horace Brakenridge ‘Jock’ Cameron. Transvaal, Eastern Province, Western Province & South Africa 1924-1935. Sepia real photograph postcard of Cameron, playing in his final first-class match, walking out to bat at Scarborough for the South Africans v H.D.G. Leveson-Gower’s XI, 7th- 9th September 1935. Cameron scored 160 in the South African’s second innings, the match was drawn. Publisher unknown. Adhesive marks to verso. Sold with two versions of mono real photograph postcards of the 1929 South African team at Scarborough, both by Walkers Studios of Scarborough, one with players’ names neatly annotated in ink to the image. Good condition. Qty 3.
Cameron captained South Africa in nine Test matches 1930-1932. Overall he played in twenty six Tests 1927-1935.
