Amateur clubs and player postcards early 1900s. A good selection of fifty five early original mono and sepia real photograph postcards depicting individual players and teams including clubs and schools, mainly 1900-1914. The majority of clubs, including three ladies’ teams, are unidentified, but with good southern interest and some northern. Clubs include Astwood Bank, St. Mark’s Institute, Cockfosters Central, Camden etc. also Eton, Winchester and Exeter schools. Publishers/ studios include Starr and Rignall (Cambridge), Beloe (Winchester), Swaine (Broadstairs), Jaques (London), H.D. Buttrum (Stony Stratford), G. Fillingham (Durham), C. Hodges, Russell & Sons (Wimbledon), F.J. Parsons (Bexhill), S.E. Taylor (Harrogate), J.M. Pearce (Exeter), Slights (Pocklington), S.E. Taylor (Darlington) etc. Some adhesive marks to verso, other odd faults, overall in good condition.
