Australian tour of England 1938. Large official mono photograph of the Australian touring team to England 1938, standing and seated in rows at Lord’s, wearing tour blazers and cricket attire. The photograph is signed by all sixteen playing members of the touring party, and the manager Jeanes, to the lower portion of the image. Seventeen signatures in total. Players’ signatures are Bradman (Captain), Barnes, Brown, Fingleton, Waite, McCormick, White, McCabe, O’Reilly, Barnett, Walker, Fleetwood-Smith, Ward, Chipperfield, Badcock and Hassett. Some fading to the signature of O’Reilly. The photograph, by ‘Sport & General Press Agency’ measures 12”x10”. This was Jeanes, the tour manager’s, copy and the photograph is signed to verso by him. Minor wear and light creasing to lower portion, otherwise a good nice image in good condition.
