Gloucestershire played at Bramall Lane, Sheffield, 3rd- 5th June 1931. No play had been possible on the first two days so, in order to contrive a result, both teams effectively forfeited their first innings by both bowling one ball and, in so doing, each conceding four wides, both first innings closing at 4/0 declared. In the second innings Gloucestershire scored 171, Headley Verity taking 7/64, and Yorkshire were bowled out for 124 (Tom Goddard 5/21), Gloucestershire winning by 47 runs. The scorecard lightly laid to black page with small adhesive marks show through. Small loss to top left corner, otherwise in very good condition. The remainder with odd minor faults, otherwise in good condition.
