‘H.McDuff. Come Away! You belong to the hens- Ours is no so round’. Frank Reynolds November 25th 1936. Excellent original humourous watercolour artwork depicting a bearded Scottish golfer wearing glasses who has lost his ball looking into a barn at an egg amongst a group of hens, with caddie Hamish McDuff looking on and golf course to background. Signed to left hand border by Reynolds with handwritten title in pencil to lower border. Attractively mounted, framed and glazed 15”x19”. The illustration was used in his book ‘Hamish McDuff’ published in 1937, of humorously illustrated golfing sketches by Frank Reynolds with a foreword by famous golf authority Bernard Darwin. To the back of the frame there is a label stating details of the watercolour, date etc. An excellent unique image in good/very good condition
