Eddie Baily, England 1951. Two original mono press photographs originally from the personal collection of Baily. One depicts Alf Ramsey, Eddie Baily, Les Medley of England and Ron Burgess of Wales meeting on the pitch, wearing football attire. Handwritten annotation to verso in Baily’s own hand, ‘Oct 1951, England v Wales, Ramsey, Baily, Medley, Burgess He Marked Me!!!’, Drew 1-1’. A lovely image. The other is an official team photograph of the England team for the friendly international v Austria at Wembley 1951. Players’ names annotated in Baily’s hand to verso. The photographs by Central Press Photos and Sport & General, London, both measure 10”x8”. Odd minor faults to the team photograph, otherwise in good/ very good condition.
