Official four page leaflet with printed notice to front page from Lord Hawke announcing the benefit match to be held, Yorkshire v Nottinghamshire at Headingley, 30th June- 3rd July 1934. Cameo portrait image of Leyland to centre. The centre pages comprise names and addresses of local Club secretaries, and tear off forms for the return of donations. Folds and light creasing, splitting along the fold, otherwise in good condition. Sold with three official scorecards, two featuring Leyland. ‘North v South’, Harrogate 27th- 29th August 1947, incomplete printed scores, North won by 86 runs. ‘Maurice Leyland’s XI v. The Rest’ at Harrogate 30th August- 2nd September 1947. Incomplete printed scores, The Rest won by nine wickets. Also ‘Derbyshire v Yorkshire’, Chesterfield 26th- 29th June 1948, incomplete printed and handwritten scores, match drawn. Odd folds and adhesive marks to verso of one, otherwise in good condition.
