Team and player postcards 1900s-1950s. Ten postcards of which seven are real photographs including ‘Kent v. Essex, Brentwood May 31st 1934’. Record score. Mono real photograph postcard depicting Bill Ashdown, Les Ames and Frank Woolley standing in front of the scoreboard, Kent having recorded their record County Championship score of 803 for four wickets declared, winning the match by an innings and 192 runs. Printed details of the scores achieved by the three batsmen, Ashdown scoring 332, Ames 202no, and Woolley 172. Publisher unknown. Gilbert Jessop in batting pose, E. Hawkins & Co. A.E. Relf in bowling pose in Surrey cap, appears to be by Foster of Brighton. ‘Notts XI 1903’, Rotary Photo series no. 3817. ‘The Sussex County Cricket Team that beat Surrey at Horsham 1928’. Two official team postcards of Australia touring parties 1953 and 1956 etc. Good condition. Sold with three Godfrey Phillips ‘Pinnace’ large size real photograph collectors’ cards, two of cricketers nos. 55 (G. Cox) and 192 (Barratt), one footballer, no. 1622 (G.E. Hart).
