Breedon ‘Nonpareil Extra Special’ cricket bat circa 1930. Inscribed to blade ‘W.J. Breedon, Leyton, Essex’. Impressed into the rubble handle, near to the top are the words ‘W.J. Breedon, Cricket Bat Maker, Near County Ground, Leyton, Essex. The company made bats in Leyton from 1878 to 1978. The Nonpareil Extra Special was the top of the range bat for many years. Sold with the late vendors research notes giving further information on the bat. Good condition
