‘Australian Cricketers Goodwill Tour 1932’. Australian tour of Canada & America 1932. Very rare variant of the official brochure for the tour comprising the original brochure (in itself scarce) with paper wrappers and pen pictures, biographies and itinerary. Unusually, this is bound in to an additional twelve pages and outer wrapper titled ‘Australian- Canadian Goodwill Cricket tour, 1932. Sponsored by Calgary & District Cricket League’. The additional pages feature scorecards for the two matches played at Calgary against ‘Wednesday’s Team’ (10th August) and ‘Thursday’s Team’ (11th August), also information ‘To The Reader’ on cricket, diagram of fielding positions and advertising. Signed in ink to the pen pictures by eleven of the twelve members of the touring party, Don Bradman, Vic Richardson, Alan Kippax, Arthur Mailey, Stan McCabe, Chuck Fleetwood-Smith, also Nutt, Rofe, Ives, Tolhurst and Carney, lacking the signature of Hanson Carter. Signatures a little faded. The tour started in Victoria, Canada on 17th June and finished in Hollywood on 28th August 1932 and was organised and run by Arthur Mailey. A scarce brochure from the tour not listed in Padwick. Pencil annotations to scorecards. Light folds and some wear, rusting to staples, otherwise in good condition.
