‘The Cricket Field. An Illustrated Record and Review’ 1892-1895. Published by ‘Pastime’, London (later issues Horace Cox, London). Illustrated. Three bound volumes of the magazine. Vol. I nos. 1- 24, 7th May- 31st December 1892. Bound in dark cloth, gilt title to spine, complete with original front wrapper for the first issue, lacking other wrappers and appears to be lacking title page and index. Vol. II nos. 25- 52, 28th January- 30th December 1893. Bound in maroon cloth, ‘1893’ label to spine, red speckled page edges, complete with title and index pages to front, lacking original wrappers. Vol. IV nos. 79- 103, 5th January- 21st September 1895. Bound in green cloth, gilt title to spine, red page edges, lacking issues no. 80 & 82, otherwise complete with original wrappers bound in, appears to be lacking title page and index. Sold with three loose individual issues of Vol. II no. 52, 30th December 1893, Vol. III no. 67, 14th July 1894, both lacking original wrappers, one page detached, and Vol. IV no. 80, 2nd February 1895 with original wrappers. Odd minor faults, otherwise in good condition. A scarce publication.
