South Africa signed tour histories/ biographies 1954-1960. Three hardbacks with dustwrappers, each multi-signed. Titles are ‘Caught by the Springboks’, Jack Cheetham, Cape Town 1954, three signatures of Watkins, Melle and Keith. Old tape repairs to dustwrapper. ‘Sackcloth Without Ashes’, Roy McLean, Cape Town 1958. Signed in ink to the title page by six South African and Australian players, including Burgess, Smith, McLean, Jarman etc. ‘Cricket Overthrown’, Charles Fortune, Cape Town 1960, author’s signature on piece paid down and four players including Griffin, Wesley etc. Sold with ‘Springboks... Past and Present’ published by the South African Olympic and British Empire Games Association 1947, original green cloth, splitting to spine. Odd faults as described, otherwise in generally good condition. Qty 4.
