Presentation copy signed with dedication in ink to front endpaper to ‘J. Catton from E. Roper July 8th 1914’. Padwick 1497. Some soiling to boards, splitting to spine, otherwise in good condition.
Edward Roper played thirty six first-class matches for Lancashire (1876-1886) and Yorkshire (1878-1880). James Catton was a writer and collector who edited the Athletic News 1903-1924 under pseudonym ‘Tityrus’.
