‘History of the Derbyshire County Cricket Club’. Walter J. Piper. Derby 1897. Original decorative boards. Some breaking to internal hinges, Ex collection of F.S. Ashley-Cooper with his signature to top border of the first advertising page and dated May 23rd 1899. In the book is a letter handwritten in ink from the publisher’s Bacon & Hudson of Derby, dated May 20th 1899, stating Dear Sir, We should take it as a favour if you could recommend the book to anyone you may know to be interested in Derbyshire cricket and oblige. Yours obediently Bacon & Hudson’. Minor wear, odd minor faults otherwise in good condition
