Frederick Gale. First edition. Simpkin, Marshall & Co, London 1871. Bound in maroon quarter leather, gilt title to spine, original decorative card covers retained. ‘The Theory and Practice of Cricket’, Charles Box, London 1868, red boards, leather spine. ‘The Game of Cricket’, Frederick Gale, London 1887, full maroon leather, raised bands and gilt title to spine, gilt to top page edges. ‘At the Sign of the Wicket’, E.B.V. Christian, Bristol 1894, bound in quarter leather, gilt to top page edges, front cover detached. All titles with the bookplate of the sports journalist and author, Gordon Ross. Some faults, overall in generally good condition.
