St. Pauls F.C., Thanet, Kent 1912/13. An attractive little booklet titled ‘History of St. Paul’s F.C. [Thanet, Kent] as set out by Hon. Sec. Written and illustrated by A.J. Biggs’. The book, handwritten in ink in the form of a diary, details the formation of the church football team and descriptions of the matches played in the 1912/13 season. The content is delightfully illustrated to the front cover and throughout with humorous cartoons depicting players in action, their mishaps, travelling to games by train, horse and carriage, bicycles etc. The season’s results are listed to the inside front cover.
