England tour to South Africa 1995/96. Cricket stump with ‘Castle’ brewery sponsor’s logo applied. Signed in black ink by eleven England players. Signatures are Mike Atherton (Captain), Alec Stewart, Angus Fraser, Graeme Hick, Mike Watkinson, Peter Martin, Robin Smith, Devon Malcolm, Dominic Cork, Graham Thorpe, and Jack Russell. Signatures correspond with the team for the 5th Test played at Newlands, Cape Town, 2nd- 4th January 1996. The stump is match used, presumably from the Test match. Very good condition.
With the first four Tests having been drawn, South Africa beat England in the final Test by ten wickets to take the series 1-0.
