Original paper wrappers, tipped in to modern blue cloth. ‘The Boy’s Book of Sports and Games’ by ‘Uncle Charles’, London 1859. Original cloth boards, gilt to front and spine. Some soiling and fading to covers. Cricket pp 28-51. ‘The Youth’s Instructer [sic] and Guardian’, January to December 1829, original marbled boards with later replacement leather spine. Engraving of cricket at Tiverton School at the start of the September 1829 issue. ‘The Christmas Gift for Young People’, London 1849. 4pp cricket extract bound in modern marbled and leather boards. ‘The Boy’s Summer Book, Descriptive of the Season, Scenery, Rural Life, and Country Amusements’, Thomas Miller, London 1846. Original brown cloth, elaborate gilt title to front and spine. Cricket illustration and text pp 83-85. ‘La Gazette des Enfants’, French magazine, issue no. 7, 10th February 1895. 8pp with original paper wrappers, bound in modern red cloth. Centre pages in colour including illustration of a dog with paw resting on the bails atop the stumps with bat and ball. Good condition.
