The Incapables were a wandering cricket club who, according to the note on page one, were originally ‘The Sparkenhoe Rovers Club’ adopting the name The ‘Incapables’ in 1872. Sparkenhoe is a district of Leicester. Over fifteen years they played eighty matches, winning fifty of them and had first class cricketers in their ranks including Rev S.C. Voules of Somerset and W.J. Ford of Middlesex. This title appears in the Goldman ‘Bibliography’ where it is noted as ‘very rare’.
