The book of poetry predominantly covers Nordic and winter sports, pp 59-63 describing football with references to notable cricketers including D.Q. and A. Steele, Ivo Bligh, Edward and Alfred Lyttelton, the Studd brothers etc., also a photoplate of C. Plumpton Wilson (Cambridge University 1880-1881). Presentation copy with dedication signed in ink from ‘L.G. Hammond’. Not listed in Padwick. Breaking to front internal hinge, some wear to wrapper edges, otherwise in good/ very good condition.
