Mono ‘In Memoriam’ style postcard depicting a mono line drawing of a gravestone by ‘Kid’ with Yorkshire rose and inscribed ‘In Loving Memory of that 1 Run which deprived Yorkshire of the Cricket Championship 1906. They fought a splendid fight. Resurgam’. Published by J.S. Savile & Co., Headingley. Postmarked 1906. Minor wear to verso, otherwise in very good condition.
Kent pipped Yorkshire to the 1906 County Championship title, Yorkshire losing their penultimate match of the season to Gloucestershire by one run.
