‘The All England Cricket & Football Journal and Athletic Review’ 1879. Two bound volumes in modern pale blue cloth of the Journal published by Martin Hurst of Sheffield. Volume Two complete with issues nos. 13 (April 1878) to 24 (April 1879), each issue featuring a real photograph portrait of a player or team to the front wrapper. Original large full page frontispiece real photograph portrait of ‘The Derbyshire Cricketers’, title page, and index bound in to the front. Pages checked and complete. Volume Three with issues nos. 25 (May 1879) to 29 (September & October 1879, final issue). The issues disbound and contained within matching modern pale blue cloth. Each issue with original front cover player/ team photographs removed, some pages clipped. Issues and pages otherwise complete. Both bindings with facsimile title label to front cover. Tear to first page of issue 16, creasing to some pages, other odd minor faults to pages, otherwise in good/ very good condition.
