Horse Racing. The old winning post disc from Aintree racecourse, the circular wooden panelled disc painted in white, red & black concentric circles, 42.5” diameter. The winning post disc was salvaged during demolition work at the Racecourse in 1984. Previously sold at Graham Budd’s auction of Football & Racing memorabilia in November 2006 as lot 273. Since the disc was purchased by the vendor an outer panel piece has broken from the disc but is retained to complete the full disc, this could be restored. Worn condition
