India. Maharajkumar Kumar of Vizianagram ‘Vizzy’. Very nice signature in ink of Vizzy on piece laid down to card. Sold with a mono press photograph of Vizzy, head and shoulders in cricket attire and India cap. 6.5”x8.5”. Central Press Photos, London. Very good condition. Qty 2.
The All India cricket team, captained by Vizzy, toured England in the 1936 season and played 28 first-class fixtures, winning only four matches whilst losing twelve and drawing twelve. They played three Test matches against England, Vizzy’s only Test appearances, and lost the series 2–0 with one match drawn.
