William Gilbert Grace. Gloucestershire, London County & England 1865-1908. Original bookplate photograph of Grace in batting pose taken from Ranjitsinhji’s ‘The Jubilee Book of Cricket’. The image titled ‘W.G. Grace Playing Half-Cock’. Very nicely signed in ink to lower border by Grace. Signed in ink to the verso by the eleven members of the South African team for the drawn 2nd Test against Australia, 12th- 14th November 1921 at Old Wanderers, Johannesburg. Signatures are Taylor (Captain), Zulch, Ward, Nourse, Nupen, Marx, Ling, Carter, Blanckenberg, Lindsay (only Test), and Frank. Small loss and tear to top right hand corner with neat tape repair. Slight fading to some signatures, otherwise in good/ very good condition.
