Australia tour to England 1921. Album page laid to trimmed card, nicely signed in black ink by twelve members of the Australian touring party. Handwritten title ‘Australians 1921’. Signatures are Armstrong (Captain), Collins, Ryder, Bardsley, Hendry, Gregory, Mayne, Taylor, Andrews, Carter, Mailey and Pellew. The card measures 3.5”x6”. Some browning to the signatures otherwise in good condition.
Unusually, the 1921 Ashes series took place in England immediately following the M.C.C. tour to Australia of 1920/21 in which Australia won all five Tests. The Australians arrived in England just one week after the England team had returned and went on to win to win the first three Tests with the final two matches in the series drawn.
