M.C.C. tour to Australia 1936/37. Large page on the letterhead of ‘Leslie James Youngren’, nicely signed by thirteen members of the touring party while travelling across America on their return voyage. Signatures are Barnett, Wyatt, Ames, Voce, Verity, Sims, Leyland, Copson, Worthington, Farnes, Duckworth, Fishlock and Howard (Manager). An inscription in ink to the lower portion of the page below the signatures states ‘To Mr. T.R. Hunter(?); Those members of the M.C.C. Team on their way back to England, whose autographs appear above were entertaining in Chicago 10 April 1937 by the Illinois Cricket Association (U.S.A.)’. Signature below is unidentified. The page, measuring 7.25”x10.5”, is lightly laid down to one corner to a larger album page. Horizontal folds and light creasing, otherwise in good condition. Nice signatures.
