All India tour of England 1911 (1st Indian tour). Rare page signed in pencil by fourteen members of the Indian touring party. Signatures are Kanga, Warden, Meherhomji, Syed Hasan [Hussain], Baloo, Bajana, Pai, Mulla, Shivram, Salam-ud-din, Seshachari, Shafqat Hussain, Bulsara and Divecha (Manager). Horizontal and vertical folds with some splitting to folds. Minor soiling, otherwise in good condition. A rare and early page of Indian cricketers’ signatures.
After several abortive attempts, the first Indian team to include the three major sections of non- European cricket in India came to England in 1911. An ambitious tour programme was arranged for the team and their record was not very impressive, with only two first class wins, although they were cursed with injury and drop outs throughout the tour.
