‘Surrey Club and Ground v. Hastings & St. Leonards C.C.’ Hastings Cricket Week 1887. Early original double sided scorecard for the match played at Hastings 24th & 25th August 1887. The scorecard with complete printed scores is printed on an original sheet laid down presumably to an earlier version of the scorecard. The scores show Surrey Club & Ground scoring 238, Hastings & St. Leonards 37 & 153, Surrey winning by an innings and 48 runs. E.J. McCormick and James Phillips on the Hastings side both played County cricket for Sussex. Ex James Phillips collection. The match does not appear to be recorded on cricketarchive .com. Local advertising to borders of the front and to the verso. Printer unknown. 6.5”x8.25”. Horizontal folds, some wear to edges, age toning, otherwise in good condition.
