South American Cricket team in England 1932. Official folding fixture card with shield to front incorporating the emblems of the three nations of Argentina, Brazil and Chile, fixtures and tour details to centre, list of playing members to rear. ‘Ex libris’ label for Alan James Richards laid down to rear. Sold with an official mono photograph of the team seated and standing in rows wearing tour blazers for the match v Sussex at The Saffrons, Eastbourne 2nd- 5th July 1932, 8.25”x6.25”. Also an official double sided scorecard for the match with complete handwritten scores. Some age toning to the fixture and scorecards, folds to the scorecard, the photograph in very good condition.
The 1932 tour by the South Americans included seven first-class matches. The match against Sussex was drawn and featured centuries from James Langridge (128 for Sussex) and John Knox (110no for the South Americans). Langridge also took 7/87 for Sussex in the first innings.
