Pelham Francis ‘Plum’ Warner. Middlesex, Oxford University & England 1894-1920. Single page handwritten letter in ink dated 15th October 1953. Writing soon after celebrating his 80th birthday, Warner is replying to a request from a ‘Mr Gillman’ for his autograph and photograph and sends his best wishes ‘noting you too will reach “80 not out”, it only needs a 4, a 3, a 2 and a single & you will be there!’. Signed ‘Pelham F. Warner’. Light folds. Very good condition.
